A Two-Day In-Store Gelato Setup at Woodbury Common

How the Retail Store Event Started

The request came from headquarters for a paid catering partner setup at the Woodbury Common retail store. From the shopper perspective, the gelato was served as a complimentary in-store treat with no purchase required. Guests visiting the store were invited to enjoy fresh gelato while shopping, browsing, or passing through the register area.

A Flexible Retail Store Gelato Setup

Because this event took place inside an active retail store, the setup needed to be clean, polished, and compact. Our team kept the branded gelato station close to the register area, creating a convenient hospitality point without taking over the sales floor.

The setup included our gelato display, cups, and spoons. The same server worked both days, explaining the available flavors verbally to shoppers. Most guests received one flavor per cup, while some enjoyed a two-flavor combination. The service was quick, neat, and easy to enjoy inside the retail environment.

Two Busy Days at Woodbury Common

Service was booked from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, but both days were busy enough that servings finished before the scheduled end time.

On Saturday, we served about 100 gelato cups with a four-flavor menu. Shopper interest was strong and everything was gone before 4:00 pm. The store then requested two additional flavors for Sunday, and our server selected Green Tea Gelato and Honey Lavender Gelato for the expanded menu. On Sunday, we served about 150 cups across six flavors — again finishing early. Across the two-day event, our team served about 250 gelato cups to shoppers and store staff.
