The menu also included a few flavors that gave guests something a little more unexpected. Ube, made from purple yam popular in the Philippines, stood out for both its color and its dessert appeal. Lychee sorbet added a floral, tropical note, while lemon sorbet brought a refreshing tartness from fresh lemon juice and fine zest.
The sorbets were especially useful during service, too. When guests asked for vegan options, we had them ready. That made it easy to accommodate different preferences without needing a separate setup, and it helped make sure everyone had something they could enjoy.
By the end of the event, we had served more than 100 guests at Halifax Hoboken. The service ran smoothly, the flavor mix worked beautifully for the crowd, and guests were happy to have both classic gelato flavors and dairy-free sorbet options. We were glad to be part of such a special engagement celebration.
